As a responsible group, we are working on our daily tasks to improve our sustainability.
At Duquesa de Cardona Luxury Boutique Hotel, we're committed to the environment and to caring for our surroundings and the planet through the following actions:

Paper-free philosophy

We minimise the use of paper and the printing of bookings, both externally and internally, by digitising most of the processes that were previously done on paper.

Eco-friendly toiletries

In our rooms, we use toiletries that are kind to the environment and use organic and sustainable ingredients. Our shower gels, shampoos and conditioners are by Rituals, a certified, sustainable and conscious brand that does not use micro plastics. We're committed to a zero-plastic and zero-waste philosophy and so we use refillable packaging, which is much more environmentally friendly.

Energy saving

We use specialised and environmentally friendly heating and air conditioning systems. Energy saving light bulbs are used throughout the hotel and our establishment is 100% renewable energy certified.

Environmental management system

We have an "Environmental Management System", which allows us to save water and energy, reducing the consumption of polluting chemical products. Our guests are informed of this system and encouraged to help us save on the daily cleaning of rooms, sheets and towels. We also have a system for recycling glass and other materials.

Responsible tourism

At our hotel, we promote mindful tourism practices among our guests and our team, with the aim of making the city of Barcelona a more sustainable destination.
We also promote the use of public transport. We inform our guests about the transport connections near the hotel and those with access for people with reduced mobility.

Biosphere Sustainable Lifestyle Certification

We have obtained the "Biosphere Sustainable Lifestyle Certification", which recognises companies that work with mindful and responsible processes in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals.
